Act a Two: The Bitchery of History
The Bitchery of History is a podcast devoted to exploring the women who made history, only to be forgotten by it. Over the last four seasons, Max and Allison have told the stories of over 200 women, both good and bad, from throughout history and all over the world. Like two kids talking excitedly at the back of the bus, each episode strives to prove one point: Bitches Get Stuff Done. Not only will they be sharing stories of women, but Max and Allison will be interviewing a guest for each time slot. Our Guest Since 2016, Nicole Powell has spent her free time researching the current political state of the country, and how we got here. Her goal is to assist others in understanding how the US Government works at the moment, and how it COULD work better with more engaged citizens across the country and political spectrum. She is especially interested in engaging young voters and has been making Instagram videos about voting and other democratic processes to help achieve that goal. She is working with the NAACP, the Democratic Party of Apex, and several of her North Carolina local candidates. Nicole has written countless postcards, knocked on doors, and made plenty of phone calls in both the 2018 and current election cycle. She is an educator at The Greensboro Science Center, and is working toward a Master of Arts in Biology. She is always ready to talk about voting. |
